For our money, the Oculus Quest 2 is the best standalone VR headset out there. With no wires and no PC requirements, this is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to experience virtual reality. You simply put on the headset and use the supplied touch controllers to transport your gestures, movements and actions into the VR world.
For the second attempt with a standalone VR headset, Oculus increased the number of pixels per eye by 50% (1832 x 1920) and increased the refresh rate from 72 Hz to 90 Hz. This results in much smoother and more detailed environments. (You can also connect the device to a gaming PC via Quest Link. However, this is completely optional – the device works fine on its own.) In addition to VR games, the device can also be used to virtually experience live concerts and films and other exclusive events.
