The very best equipment for Oculus Quest 2 for 2021

The powerful is convenient Oculus Quest 2 brought virtual reality closer to the mainstream than ever before. The Facebook VR gaming system is wireless, which is essential for a great VR experience. While the prices for start to $ 300 for i 64GB version, it’s pretty sparse and contains nothing but the VR headset and two controllers. You can just play with the Oculus Quest 2, but tons of accessories are available to enhance the experience and protect your portable VR gaming system.

Here are some of the best Oculus Quest 2 accessories that I’ve tried a number of – and some that I bought myself. Others on the list are highly rated by online shoppers. I am adding the best accessories and will update this list as I try them out.

If you’re looking for a little bit of protection for the Oculus Quest 2 headunit (yes, people have been known to drop it), a head covering will help. The NUFR is available in a variety of colors for around $ 16, with the price varying slightly depending on the color.

When I tried to upgrade to an “elite” headband, I didn’t really want to spend $ 50 on the official Oculus Elite headband. I was looking for a bundle that would go with a couple of accessories and I found this one from Esimen that comes in a nice case. So far everything has held up well after a month of use.

Another version of this is sold on Amazon under the Masiken brand. It looks the same and costs more or less the same.

I wanted a bit more of a challenge training games like Thrill of the Fight, Fitness VR, The Climb and The Climb 2, Beat Saber, and many more so I tried to get some portable weights. From my research, I’ve found that weighed gloves, rather than wrist weights, are the way to go. Just remember that these risks should be taken on your own (you could injure yourself) with these, but it definitely increases the intensity of your workout

Each glove adds a pound, but that’s what you think. They fit nicely in the controllers.

FramesDirect

You can certainly play with glasses on with the Oculus 2, but it’s more convenient not to. A set of inserts for corrective lenses is provided here.

Oculus has partnered with FramesDirect to provide such Rx inserts at prices starting at $ 80 for Virtu Clear lens inserts. There are other options for VR Rx lenses including those from WidmoVR VR Lens Lab, but I’ve only tried Virtu Clear lenses. They work well and are fairly easy to get hold of, so someone who doesn’t need glasses can play.

Abundance of eye games we designed to make you sweat. That’s why it’s a good idea to get a silicone or synthetic leather face cover that you can easily clean after every gaming session. I bought this Vukoo bundle which also includes a set of controller handles and a protective lens cover (it’s important to protect the lenses from sun and bumps). Everything fits and works well so no complaints.

I also found this Veer bundle which also includes a front cover for $ 20. It might actually be a better deal as it has more for less, but I haven’t tried it so I can’t tell you for sure.

Oculus Quest 2 has some excellent table tennis games that are incredibly realistic (I play Eleven Ping Pong). But if you want to take it to the next level and add even more realism, you can turn your Oculus Quest 2 controller into a real table tennis bat with a paddle handle accessory. The weight distribution is slightly different from a real paddle, but it’s close enough to make you feel like you’re really holding one back. It’s a bit hardcore, but if you play virtual table tennis a lot, it’s a must.

While you can use any wired headphones with the Oculus Quest 2, there are a handful of official Oculus ready headsets, including the Logitech G Pro gaming headset for Oculus Quest 2. It looks sturdy and is comfortable for an over -Headphone. with memory foam ear cushions that passively seal off ambient noise. Get a short cable (with Velcro) designed for the Oculus Quest 2 along with other cable accessories that allow you to use the Oculus Quest headset with your PC and another game console. The boom microphone is removable.

I focused a little more on the comfort factor – meaning wearing these during a VR workout game will get the temperature on your head a little bit higher – but they sound good too.

If you’re looking for a more comfortable gaming experience, upgrading to an “Elite” strap is the way to go. This is the official eye version. Personally, I bought a fake Esimen that came bundled with a case for about the same price (see above). Everything was fine, but some people want the official version and that’s all.

If you don’t want to wear full-size headphones while headphone gaming, the Logitech G333 earbuds are a great alternative. They also come with a short, custom length lanyard (and Velcro) designed for Oculus headphones.

The cord that runs the right earbud is longer so you can wear this cord around your neck so it can get caught when you don’t have the earbuds in your ears. While they’re nothing special when it comes to earbuds, they have a sturdy cord and overall feel sturdy and are well designed for use with Oculus Quest 2. They will provide a solid sound when given an airtight seal (several different sizes are included).

There are plenty of cheaper earbud options for the Oculus Quest 2 – find them here. I haven’t tried them, however, and some don’t seem to last as long as the Logitech G333.

The anchor dock loading dock for Oculus Quest 2 is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a resting place for your Oculus 2 head drives and controllers when you’re not in use, and includes rechargeable batteries for controllers and a USB-C cable and power adapter (connect the cable to the dock).

The pier also comes with a small magnetic USB-C adapter that plugs into the USB-C port on the Oculus headset. Then you dock the head of the drive and the integrated magnetic charger connects to the adapter.

I was able to upload the head-even units on it with an elite head strap, but you’ll have to remove all of the controllers to charge them.

I haven’t tried this combination of accessories yet, but it’s getting high marks on Amazon and it seems like a great way to plug in an external battery (not included) for longer gaming sessions.

There is a magnetic coupling area on the back of the comfort belt. Simply stick the self-adhesive metal plate on any external battery and the battery is then attached to the comfort band.

If you’re just looking for a lens cap, this Orzero VR lens cap is one of the most popular options for just under $ 10. Personally, I’m looking for accessory packs that include a lens cap, but some people just want that accessory.

If you’re looking for an external battery that you can plug into the headset for more juice, this 10,000mAh Aukey is a great option for $ 20. You need to find a way to attach it to the headset. I made a DIY frame with a sticky magnet that I glued to the back of an elite headband, and then I attached a sticky plate to the battery. It worked great. Magnets are your friend when it comes to assembly. (Like all other Aukey products on Amazon, this one is not currently available there, but can be purchased directly from the link below.)
