San Andreas’ VR launch date, trailer, value, and options for Oculus Quest 2 port

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Comes to VR. That’s right, the mega-popular Rockstar Games title is set to come out for Oculus Quest 2 (the VR headset from the former Facebook company, which is also being renamed Meta Quest). This is the first time a GTA game is fully playable in virtual reality. Since GTA 6 is far from finished, this new version of San Andreas has to stop us. Here is everything you need to know about the VR port, from the possible release date to all sorts of other updates.

GTA: San Andreas for Oculus Quest 2 doesn’t have an official release date yet and it will likely be a while before we can play it. However, we bet this game will be released before GTA 6.

“This is a project that has been in development for many years, and we can’t wait to show you more of it,” read an excerpt from an Oculus blog post after the game was announced.

Is there a GTA: San Andreas VR trailer?

There’s no trailer for GTA: San Andreas on Oculus Quest 2, but you can watch the announcement video above.

Speaking at the Facebook Connect 2021 presentation, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms said, “This new version of what I believe to be the greatest game of all time will give gamers a whole new way to experience this iconic open world in virtual reality. ”

In this excerpt from Facebook Connect 2021, Zuckerberg revealed the game, although neither film material nor pictures were shown for the upcoming project.

We’ll likely get a trailer for the game just before it launches.

What is the GTA: San Andreas VR Prize?

Since the project is still relatively early in development, there is no way to know the price yet. However, its scope can be on par with Resident Evil 4 VR, which is currently available for $ 39.99. San Andreas has a bigger game world, so it will end up being more expensive. Be sure to expect at least $ 40 for San Andreas.

What are the GTA: San Andreas VR features?

Since this is a VR game, San Andreas for Oculus Quest 2 will likely be presented from a first-person perspective, which would be a big departure from the original version. The GTA series is no stranger to first-person modes as GTA V proves, but this would be the first time San Andreas would be playable from that perspective.

Since the original GTA: San Andreas is so old, the Quest 2 version will likely have improved graphics to add to the immersion. We also hope that some quality of life improvements will also be implemented, such as full 360 degree motion control.

It’s not known if San Andreas will get to other VR headsets like PSVR, but we keep our fingers crossed for a cross-platform release.

In the meantime, look forward to playing GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, which launches November 11th and includes upgraded versions of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.
