Improve your Oculus Quest 2 VR headset with a much better strap for $26

As much as I love the Oculus Quest 2 and acknowledge that it is almost certainly the best VR headset ever, I can’t deny that it has some flaws. While it’s a completely self-contained wireless headset that can be used on its own or wirelessly connected to a PC for PC VR gaming, it’s so aggressively uncomfortable that it almost looks like it was intended. Replacing the stock headband with the official Oculus Quest 2 Elite band helps, but it costs $ 49. There are cheaper alternatives like Esimen, which is a slightly cheaper $ 37. Well, now and while supplies last, you can get the Esimen adjustable head strap for Oculus Quest 2 for $ 26 when you apply a coupon code E68HHLR9 at checkout.

The Esimen headband is functionally identical to the official Oculus version: It clicks into place on both sides of the headset and can be tightened and loosened as required using a rotary control on the back. It uses a thick layer of PU foam for padding and is actually a smarter design in some ways – the bracelet is more flexible and the dial is easier to grip with your fingers when, for example, it’s on your head.

Unfortunately, a major redesign is required to actually get the headset “comfortable” quality, but for just $ 26 this is an affordable way to improve the headset’s fit and feel, especially for lengthy VR gaming sessions.
