Dive into VR with the wire-free, standalone Oculus Quest 2 for $250

If you want to immerse yourself in virtual worlds without needing an expensive PC, Oculus’ Quest stand-alone wireless VR headsets are the way to go for most people – especially today. Target sells the 64 GB Oculus Quest 2 for $ 250. That’s $ 50 off the price at other retailers. To receive the offer and see the selling price, you need to add the Quest 2 to your shopping cart.

We haven’t reviewed Quest 2 yet, but we really liked the original, giving it 4.5 stars out of 5 and an Editors’ Choice Award. The newer version has better resolution, is lighter, and has more RAM. The only potential downside is that you need a Facebook account to use it. Oculus is also experimenting with adding ads to apps because, well, Facebook.

The Oculus Quest 2 has redesigned touch controllers with improved ergonomics. The headset itself offers a resolution of 1832 x 1920 per eye and support for refresh rates of up to 90 Hz. This maximum refresh rate will actually be increased to 120 Hz with the upcoming v28 update. (Faster is better for virtual reality.)

In addition to the ability to play games with the Quest 2, you can use it to manipulate the desktop of your PC in the VR room. In addition, the new update allows you to pair the Logitech K830 keyboard with your Quest 2 so that the K830 appears in your virtual room when using Infinite Office.

Whether you need it for work or to play (or both), the Oculus Quest 2 is available now for a great price.
