VR Cover has been around for years and makes accessories that make VR more convenient. The VR Cover for replacing the face surface of Oculus Quest 2 makes the best VR training games a lot more enjoyable because you no longer have a nasty, sweaty foam pad afterwards. But VR Cover offers much more for Oculus Quest 2 than just face pads. It offers solutions for every single part of the Quest 2 to make it the most comfortable VR experience you have ever had. We have listed all of these accessories below and give you an overview of the best there are!

VR Cover Quest 2 foam replacement

Personnel selection

Since we reviewed the face surface and replaced the foam pad, VR Cover has continued to refine the product, even adding a ton of new colors to the list of options. My personal favorite is the Winter Edition, which comes with a red face interface connector and two white PU leather pads for your face. These improve comfort and provide a surface that can actually be cleaned and disinfected, unlike the foam pads that come with the Quest 2. There is also an opening built into the face interface connector to help your face breathe a little better and avoid foggy lenses.

VR Cover Quest 2 silicone cover colors

VR Cover Silicone Covers keep your Oculus Quest 2 foam in tip-top shape by preventing sweat from ever getting on it. These easy-to-apply covers fit right over your existing foam padding – or over VR Cover’s own PU leather replacement products – and offer a soothing, softly powdered texture to your skin. I prefer the feel of these over the PU leather pads when I’m playing something that makes me sweat a lot as the silicone structure adds an extra layer of padding and prevents sweat from building up on your face. Be warned, however, that you may want to pair these with an absorbent headband to help wick away sweat while you play.

VR Cover Quest 2 head harness pad

The VR Cover Head Strap Pad is possibly the most convenient accessory that VR Cover makes for your head. It’s a triangular-shaped pad that wraps around the top and both side straps, making the fabric straps that come with the Quest 2 very comfortable. For me it was easier to play for a long time without head fatigue. The disadvantage is that it is more difficult to adjust the strap size because the pads cover the plastic adjustment pieces.

VR Cover Quest 2 Controller reaches for Halo Protector

Have you ever knocked your controllers together or, thank goodness, found a fragile object in the room? While this is unlikely to completely prevent the glass from breaking, these silicone halo controller protectors provide ample cushioning over the ring of your Oculus Quest 2 controllers. These do not interfere with the tracking because the tracking LEDs have suitable cutouts. You can think of these as similar to the Wii remotes that everyone had not too long ago.

VR Cover Quest 2 Controller reaches for Halo Protector

Most of these accessories were just made for convenience, but these controller grips directly improve your ability to actually throw things into VR. For me, throwing grenades and other objects in VR has always been a bit difficult because you still have to hold on to the controller during these actions. VR Cover’s controller grips have a strap that wraps around the back of your hand and holds the controller firmly even when you let go. They also come with a nice piece of felt that makes the straps extremely soft against your skin and keeps them from irritating them over time.

Quest 2 VR Cover Carrying Case

The biggest difference between the Oculus Quest family and any other large VR headset is portability. So why not buy a case and keep your Oculus Quest 2 safe while you move it to another location, saving a good $ 20 over the official case in the process? This is a fabric covered hard case. The Oculus Quest 2 and its controllers fit perfectly into a form-fitting molded part, and there is even a small pouch that you can use to fit extras like the best Quest 2 batteries. There is a nice little handle that you can use to hold it in your possession without dropping it.

Quest 2 Vr Cover Elite Strap Pad

The Oculus Quest 2 Elite Strap is a fantastic accessory for the Quest 2, but it lacks in one important area: there are no pads for the back of the head. This comfy pad feels great and really is the perfect complement to the best head strap Oculus is currently selling. It gets bonus points for being made from the same type of PU leather as the face surface replacement, which means that not only is it comfortable and wicks away sweat, but it’s super easy to clean too!

Quest 2 Vr Cover Disposable hygienic cover

It’s a lot of fun to share Quest 2 with friends and family, but sometimes people are just more sweaty than others. If you’ve ever shared your Quest 2 with anyone, you will know exactly what I mean. That is why these disposable hygiene covers are so beautiful. The super-soft, cloth-like texture of these stick-on covers helps soak up all that nasty sweat and make cleaning as easy as peeling off and throwing in the trash (and then washing your hands thoroughly). VR Cover designed these in such a way that they stick to your PU leather face replacement. So be sure to include these before you buy a pack.

Quest 2 Vr Cover Xl Glasses Spacers

If you need to wear glasses while using the Oculus Quest 2, the spacer that came with the Quest 2 may be a little thin and not allow enough space for comfortable glasses. The XL glasses spacer from VR Cover is the perfect solution for this. It’s considerably deeper than the original spacer and offers enough space between your glasses and the VR lenses so that they don’t get scratched.

Quest 2 Vr Cover Lens Cover

While the Oculus Quest 2 allows you to easily swap out many parts, there is one external part that is not really intended to be user-replaceable: the lenses. If you regularly carry the Quest 2 around with you or don’t have a closed storage system for it (as in the carrying case above), consider using this soft lens cover to avoid scratches. It’s a small investment that will help keep your Quest 2’s lenses in tip-top shape.

Quest 2 Vr Cover fabric cover

This is probably my least favorite VR cover accessory here. That’s not because it’s a bad product, but I’m not a fan of using it. These fabric covers fit over the original foam that came with the Oculus Quest 2 and make the face surface significantly less scratchy because the fabric is made from 100% soft cotton. However, putting it on is annoying as you have to remove the foam interface and awkwardly wrap the cloth around the foam and then secure it around your back with two straps. If you really want cotton on your face this will work fine, but I by far prefer other options on this list.

A better experience with Oculus Quest 2

VR Cover makes a lot of products, but the Oculus Quest 2 range is particularly good. The only thing you can do with the replacement of the company’s face surface is to plump up your face and keep things more hygienic. The material is so much nicer to wear longer than the foam pads that come with the Quest 2, and it’s made of a material that you can actually clean up between uses.

Conversely, the controller handles improve your gameplay – especially if you have to throw something into a game – and make holding the controllers more comfortable thanks to the added grip of the design and the relief from the hand strap. I also like the extra padding that the VR Cover head strap pads add to the fabric strap that comes with the Quest 2. Many people felt that these straps were missing in the comfort department, and these comfy pads go a long way in relieving the pressure that long gaming sessions can bring.

Now that you’ve made your Quest 2 extremely comfortable, the next step for PC gamers is to make it extremely powerful. Playing SteamVR games on the Quest 2 is easier than ever thanks to the Oculus Link cable, which is available for purchase. If you have a great Wi-Fi 6 router to power your home network, you can opt for a more wireless solution too. Either way, getting Quest 2 is just the beginning of a seemingly endless experience.

Protect your Oculus Quest 2 from sweat and dirt with these face covers

Protect your Oculus Quest 2 from sweat and dirt with these face covers

The Oculus Quest 2 standard face surface has plenty of foam padding. However, this material is a magnet for sweat, bacteria, and acne-causing dirt. Yuck! For this reason, we recommend investing in one of these leather, silicone, or flannel face covers that are easy to remove and clean, making your VR game worry-free and more hygienic.

Play PC VR games on the Oculus Quest 2 without the official cable for $ 80

The Oculus Link cable is hands down the best way to play SteamVR and Oculus Rift games on the Oculus Quest 2, but it costs a whopping $ 79. There are alternative cables out there that cost far less on the same benchmarks, but some of the ones you find on Amazon cannot be trusted. Here are the ones that you should try first.
