If you have an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset, you may need to find the serial number of your device.
Whether you need it for a specific app download, to work with customer support, or for any other reason, the Oculus Quest 2 and its controllers each have their own unique serial number.
As always, finding the serial number on your Oculus Quest 2 isn’t exactly as easy as it should be. There are several ways to access your device’s serial number, but they are all a bit hidden. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered.
Where is the serial number for your Oculus Quest 2?
Short answer: Lots of places
The Oculus Quest 2 serial numbers can be found in various locations, both physically and digitally. First, let’s take a look at where to find your device’s physical serial number:
On the headset – On the right side of your Oculus Quest 2 headset, you will find the serial number under the strap. Gently pull the strap off the headset and you will find the serial number right there.

On the box – As with many other products, you can find the serial number of your Oculus Quest 2 on the box it came in. Look for a white box with a barcode on it and you will see the 14-digit serial number next to it S / N.
And now let’s look at where to find the serial number digitally:
Oculus.com – Go to Oculus website and log into your account. You can then go to My devices Section where you can find the serial number of your headset.
Oculus mobile app – This option is probably the easiest. Just open the Oculus mobile app and tap equipment below and your headset and serial number will be displayed right there.

When looking for the serial number for your controllers, you need to look at the controllers for yourself. Remove the battery compartment and battery from your controller and you will see the serial number underneath where the battery is located.
There you will find the serial number of your Oculus Quest 2 and its controller everywhere. Again, the easiest method is likely to be using the mobile app, but that may not always be an option. Fortunately, there are other ways to find the information.
