The New Oculus Quest 2 Mannequin with 128GB of Storage Is Now Out there

A new model of the Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headset is available today and can be ordered immediately (see at Amazon). While this isn’t a generation leap in hardware, the new model doubles the storage you get for the price. Now the base model has 128GB of storage and costs $ 299, replacing the previous version that had 64GB for the same price.

All new Oculus Quest 2 headsets – the 128GB model and the newly manufactured 256GB headsets – also have a new silicone face interface. In late July, Facebook took Oculus Quest 2 headsets off the market after some owners reported skin irritation. Owners of the original Quest 2 hardware can request a free silicone cover here.

The Oculus Quest 2 itself is a completely wireless VR headset that is surprisingly good value for your money. It comes with the headset and two controllers, and that’s it. Unlike all other large VR headsets, no outside sensors are required.

However, you can connect it to a computer with a cable or wirelessly with accessories. That way, you can use it as a standard VR headset and play games from other online stores.
