Oculus Quest 2 is Now Suitable with the YUR Health App
There is no doubt that in terms of pure physical activity, the Oculus Quest 2 is one of the best VR headsets out there right now. While we’ve been singing the praises of the Quest 2 for a few weeks now, the headset has gotten even better today thanks to a recent development.
YUR, the fitness application that can track a ton of different stats about your physical health, has now been introduced on Oculus Quest 2. If you’re unfamiliar with YUR, it offers a variety of tools to help you keep track of your workout routines while playing different games.
The features of YUR include an estimated total calorie consumption, a knee flexion counter and a predictive heart rate monitor. YUR also offers a number of different levels that you can keep growing over time the more you use it. Best of all, the app is also compatible with every single game in Quest 2’s library.
You can watch YUR in the trailer here:
If you’ve been in the VR fitness scene for a long time, you probably already know the importance of tools like YUR. Assuming you are serious about losing weight or staying in shape, you probably want to be very strict about your calorie and exercise routines. YUR allows you to do just that without missing a beat and is essential if you want deeper feedback on the routines you may visit frequently in the virtual reality world.
How you need to download YUR is a bit different from normal. The application is only available on the Oculus Quest 2 via sideloading and is not available natively in the Oculus storefront. Still, the process is pretty straightforward and should only take a few moments to download. If you are familiar with Side Quest VR you should be able to find YUR in the TV section of the website.
And if you are looking for more information about YUR and its many functions, you can find out more here. And now if you’d like to add it to your own Quest 2, this page has a simple step-by-step installation guide. For those of you who own the original Oculus Quest, YUR is also available on this platform.
