The Oculus VR platform is just getting stronger right now, and the virtual reality leader was in full force on April 21st for the inaugural Oculus Gaming Showcase.
It focused solely on the game software, which focuses on the range of virtual reality headsets, and featured brand new games like Pistol Whip: Smoke and Thunder, new episodes of the existing Star Wars VR title, Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, and a better one Overview. wanted games like Lone Echo II and After the Fall.

Pistol Whip is on his way to the Wild West
One of the best VR games, Pistol Whip, adds wild west themed levels to its players. With the expansion “Smoke and Thunder” you can experience life as a gunslinger and add John Wick-style and cyberpunk-themed levels to the already available levels.
If that wasn’t enough, another add-on called The Concierge Pistol Whip gives players full level customization options. Whether you want to shoot through enemies with endless ammunition or leave your gun behind on a pacifist run, there are tons of brand new modifiers to play with however you want.
We don’t have much to do with a release date, but Pistol Whip: Smoke and Thunder + The Concierge should be releasing this “Summer” (June, July or August worldwide) on Oculus Quest and Rift headsets.
A better look at Resident Evil 4 VR
Finally confirmed, we recently received confirmation that Resident Evil 4 is making the leap to VR. And during today’s showcase, we got a much better look at how the game will feel when translated into an in-headset play style.
Port developers Armature made a lot of adjustments to make Resident Evil 4 work in VR. According to Oculus, “weapons and items have been redesigned as physical objects that you can pick up and interact with. You can also switch weapons by removing them from your body instead of going into a menu and you can use them.” separate weapons with each hand.
“With the analog stick, you’re still moving in first person, but Armature added a full torso rig in addition to Leon’s character to combine his movement with the two-handed interactivity that touch controllers provide. They even have Added support for teleportation and room-scale movement so you can explore the area at your leisure. “

Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister receives a multiplayer update
As a result of the latest Last Bastion update for Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister, you and a friend can play Horde mode together on two brand new maps starting today.
As a chunky shooter that feels like a mix of Warhammer lore and takes on Gears of War gameplay from first person, it’s a fun first step into VR for Warhammer and looks impressive on the standalone Quest headset.
Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister is currently only on Quest – it was mistakenly said to be Rift devices today – although it will be arriving on the Rift devices too “soon”.
Lone Echo II receives a zero G start window
The original Lone Echo remains one of the absolute best virtual reality experiences out there with its incredibly intuitive momentum-based motion system. With the weightlessness effects, you simply reach for a virtual surface and start to navigate through the secrets of space.
Lone Echo II is then one of the most highly anticipated of all the Oculus titles in development. And although we didn’t have a start date after “Summer 2021” (between June and August) for the Oculus event, we took a close look at the zero-G return to the rings of Saturn. Get this on your wish list folks.

Part II of Star Wars: Tales from the Edge of the Galaxy Come Down
Can’t you get enough of this galaxy far, far away? Oculus owners can return to ILMxLAB’s version of the Star Wars universe, while Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge returns for a second time.
The new concept art for the upcoming Star Wars VR adventure introduces players to Dok-Ondar, one of those mysterious hammer-headed aliens who always seem to roam the Tatooine canteens. However, there is no official release date for this edition yet, other than a “2021” window.
I expect you to die 2 lets you live all of the new James Bond VR fantasies
Inspired by the classic James Bond line, I Expect You To Die is getting a sequel that gives you even more espionage-themed missions – should you choose to take on them.
The original is a fun VR puzzle game that puts you in the shoes of an elite super spy as you battle deadly traps and faulty devices. I expect You Die 2 is likely to deliver more of this, and given that we’ve had the best gameplay VR has to offer, we won’t be disappointed.
There’s no official release date yet, but I Expect You To Die 2 is expected to be released later this year on both Rift and Quest devices.
Carve Snowboarding introduces a new N64 classic for VR
1080 snowboarding on the Nintendo 64 was a popular extreme sports title from the early days of 3D gaming. Its creator, Giles Goddard, returns to the snow-capped slopes to give you a first-person look at snowboarding action.
Chuhai Labs are the development team behind the game, previously working on Halloween Forever, Tinker Trains, and an upcoming PlayDate title. It will be the first full VR title and we hope that it will be up to the task to translate what is already a gastrointestinal sport in real life into a comfortable virtual reality experience. Note that you can also pet the dog in the log cabin.
After the Fall is a cool VR shooter from the Arizona Sunshine Team
Vertigo Games continues its hit game Arizona Sunshine with another zombie apocalypse survival experience. After the fall, you and up to three other players will battle dozens of icy undead monsters in a snow-covered post-apocalyptic LA.
We’ve seen a bit of After the Fall before, but the Oculus Games Showcase gave us an exclusive new look at what the game has in store. It looks a bit like Left 4 Dead in multiplayer and a bit like The Last of Us in its setting, with a really impressive number of bad guys on screen at the same time.
After the fall, Quest and Rift devices will hit the market this “summer” – that’s some time in the coming months of June, July and August. We will keep you updated on the final release date as soon as we learn more.
Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife still looks terribly good
Get ready to explore the terrifying secrets of the Barclay Mansion in Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife. This VR adventure takes place in a universe of stories known as the World of Darkness. It will be released on the Quest and Rift platforms on April 22, 2021 (just hours away at the time of writing!).
Trapped between life and death, play as Ed Miller as he tries to uncover the truth behind his untimely death by using newly discovered spectral skills. Wraith: The Oblivion – The afterlife seems to prove that even ghosts have a reason to fear the creatures that encounter in the night.

The Climb 2 will start the first half of its Freestyle expansion pack tomorrow, which consists of six new levels with occasional and professional levels of difficulty.
