New Oculus Quest 2 introduced; 128GB mannequin this month | The Digital Report.biz

It’s not exactly a hardware overhaul, but the announcement that the world’s most popular VR headset is doubling its storage capacity is still welcome news. The base Oculus Quest 2 will ship as standard with 128GB of storage starting August 24th for the exact same price of £ 299 / $ 299.
Users can still opt for the larger – and more expensive – 256GB for £ 399 / $ 399, but with this upgrade to the entry-level model, Oculus continues its quest to bring VR to the mainstream at an affordable price. Not only does the larger storage space mean users can install more games on their headset, but it also helps delay the obsolescence as the file size inevitably grows.
The 64GB model is no longer available for sale.
