Greatest Oculus Quest 2 Video games

The Oculus Quest 2 is one of the best VR headsets out there. It is a standalone device that enables gamers to experience virtual reality games in full immersion. Quest 2’s ability to make you feel like you are in a digital world is really something everyone should experience. Here is a list of some of the best Oculus Quest 2 games out there.

You may have read that the VR market lacks a “killer app” that makes owning your own VR headset worthwhile. This was certainly the case when VR headsets first hit the market. These days there are many incredible games that you can play in virtual reality.

Below is a list of some of the best VR games that should be on your shortlist if you already have a Quest 2 or are planning to buy one of these great real word simulators soon.

1. Defeat sabers

If you have a VR headset and haven’t tried Beat Saber yet, you’re missing out. This virtual reality rhythm game is one of the most popular titles on all VR platforms. It’s also one of the most active games for the Oculus Quest 2 and can also be used as a cardio workout if desired.

The base game contains a collection of custom songs recorded explicitly for Beat Saber. However, Beat Games has a selection of content packs from big acts like Billie Eilish, Linkin Park, and Timbaland.

2. Population: One

If you are a fan of multiplayer battle royale games like Apex Legends and Fortnite then Population: One is the game for you. It’s a team-based shooter with dogfight elements. Each player is given a wingsuit and jetpack to move them anywhere, which means you need to keep an eye on not only the ground but also the air above you at all times.

Population: One is an action packed title with excellent gameplay that is sure to be entertained.

3. Gun whip

Pistol Whip is another great example of a VR game that can help you get fit. The bullet dodging elements will make you squat without realizing it.

In this title, you won’t be wielding lightsabers on boxes like in Beat Saber. Instead, you wield a pistol and have to fight for your virtual life. To maximize your score, you’ll need to release your shutter to the beat of the background soundtrack.

4. Super hot VR

SuperHot was a traditional console and PC game before it became a VR game. When VR headsets hit the market, the developer quickly found that SuperHot worked perfectly in VR.

This first person shooter game uses a unique mechanic where your movement controls the time in the game. When you stand still, time stands still and the faster you move, the faster time goes by. With the timing control, SuperHot VR becomes both a puzzle game and a shooter.

5. Resident Evil 4

Capcom has turned one of its classics, Resident Evil 4, into a virtual reality title exclusively for Oculus Quest 2 – the original.

For veterans of the franchise, you know the remake has everything you can remember from the original release, but this time in a more immersive first-person perspective to maximize the terror. Newbies to the series will experience a wild ride with this game.

6. The Walking Dead: Saints and sinners

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is one of the most critically acclaimed games on the Oculus Quest platform. The developers at Saints & Sinners have put an incredible amount of effort into developing interaction mechanics that complement the virtual reality inputs.

The physics-based combat system enables some of the most fun battles one could hope for in a VR game. Fans of the Walking Dead franchise should check out this game, but this game is worth your time even if you are not actively following the series.

7. Vader Immortal Star Wars

Star Wars fans shouldn’t miss the incredible Vader Immortal series, made exclusively for Oculus Quest headsets. This three-part series of VR experiences puts you in the middle of the Star Wars universe with a neutral, republican and imperial perspective.

Experience life as a smuggler in Episode I, train under Darth Vader’s wings in Episode II and lead an attack on Vader’s fortress in Episode III.

8. Half-life: Alyx

Valve’s Half-Life: Alyx, which is only available on Steam, doesn’t run directly on the Quest 2 headset. But if you have a powerful gaming PC, you can plug in your headset with an Oculus Link Cable or use WiFi to stream PC VR games to your headset.

Alyx is a must-have for anyone who has ever played any of the previous Half-Life titles, and for anyone who wants the most complete VR gaming experience yet.
