The Oculus Quest 2 is a wireless VR headset designed to deliver an amazing experience without costing the world.

In our Oculus Quest 2 test, we were impressed with the price-performance ratio of the device.

But the headset recently came under fire after multiple users reported having facial rashes from reacting with the headset’s foam cover.

The brand new version has a silicone face cover that should put a spanner in the works.

Interestingly, the built-in memory of the Oculus Quest 2 has now doubled from 64 GB to 128 GB.

It’s now the standard version of the Oculus Quest 2 and costs the same £ 299.

There is also a more expensive model with a whopping 256 GB of storage.

This allows you to feed even more apps to the VR headset than before.

Otherwise the new Oculus Quest 2 is identical.

Here’s the verdict from our original Oculus Quest 2 review …

Our Oculus Quest 2 test result – October 2020

When VR had its big break a few years ago, it was prohibitively expensive.

Then came a lot of cheaper headsets, but these made the experience much worse.

Now the Oculus Quest 2 has found the perfect middle ground: It is inexpensive and offers an overwhelming VR experience.

It’s really good value at £ 299 and I think it’s a better buy than a console right now.

We all played the same old console games, but VR opens up a whole new world of fun.

And the fact that you can stream it to the TV or phone while you play makes it more social too.

One of the great things about VR is that it’s intuitive.

You interact with things with your hands, just like in real life.

This allows people with no experience with video games to join in. That’s not the case if you’ve tried putting your Nan on the Xbox in Call of Duty.

This is one of the best gadgets released in the past few years and you are really missing out if you don’t buy one.

The sun says: Oculus Quest 2 from Facebook is the first essential virtual reality gadget. It’s worth every penny. 5/5
