Currys have an amazing Oculus Quest 2 and Elite Strap bundle for £319

The Oculus Quest 2 is already a great VR headset, but its excellent Elite Strap accessories seals the deal in terms of overall comfort and nasty headache reduction. You would normally have to pay an additional £ 50 on top of the Quest 2 to get this fancier head harness, but Currys PC World is currently offering a great package that cuts that additional cost in half and brings you a Quest 2 and Elite harness for £ 319 instead £ 350 each

At the time of writing, the bundle is still available for online delivery as well as in-store pickup. You can also use the package Promo code FNDDGAMING at checkout for free next day delivery. It’s pretty rare to see packages like this in the UK so I wouldn’t hang around if you’ve thought of buying one lately.

With the Oculus Rift S no longer available later this year, the Oculus Quest 2 is now probably the best VR headset you can buy right now if you don’t have the money for a fancy valve index. The expensive Vive Cosmos headsets are nowhere near as good or easy to use as the Quest 2, and thanks to Oculus’ nifty Link technology, you can also use the Quest 2 to play PC-based VR games when you have it Connect via a USB cable. It’s really the best of both worlds, and with the support of a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is expected to be available in a future update, it is getting closer and closer to the technical experience offered by Valve’s much more expensive Index headset.

However, Quest 2 has its downsides too: you now need a mandatory Facebook account to log in and use it. After deleting my Facebook profile following the Cambridge Analytica scandal, I have to admit that I wasn’t particularly pleased when I had to create a brand new (albeit empty) account when I invited the Quest 2 to test it out. Fortunately, after setting up the headset, you no longer have to deal with Facebook’s social networking features or interact with Facebook in any way, but there is something to be aware of nonetheless.

However, if you can stand the Facebook login then this is a really great headset for VR that gives you a huge library of games to choose from. If you’re not sure where to start, be sure to check out our roundup of the best VR games to get you started.
