BoxVR Pushes Health Limits With Excessive Pack At the moment

Isn’t your BoxVR workout burning enough calories for your taste? Developer FitXR has just the thing.

The BoxVR Extreme Pack launches today on Oculus and SteamVR headsets and is designed to push you to your limits. In the developer’s own words, it includes some of the game’s hardcore workouts with a mix of high-tempo, drum & bass, metal, and house music. There are a total of 18 new titles, which corresponds to an hour of new content. The package costs $ 9.99.

BoxVR is essentially Beat Saber, but replaces sword swing with punching. It’s also a much more fitness-focused experience with counting calories burned and offering expanded playlists. Along with OhShape, we think this is one of the best ways to train in VR.

Even so, it can be difficult to say exactly how intense your workout will be, and we’ve left a few sessions behind as if the song selection wasn’t as rushing as we’d hoped it would be. With that in mind, it’s great to see a pack that is purposely as tough as possible. We look forward to trying this package out for ourselves when it is released later.

This is the second set of new BoxVR tracks to hit the market recently. A few weeks ago, an Essentials DLC was launched on Oculus Quest. In fact, this also depends on PC VR today. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and much of the world self-isolating, it is certainly great to see FitXR bringing new content to the table.

As for PSVR players, FitXR says the content will be released “as soon as possible”.
