Are you able to show your Oculus Quest 2 in your TV?
The Oculus Quest 2 has become one of the most popular consumer brand virtual reality headsets out there. Mark Zuckerberg’s fascination with the metaverse ultimately seems to have started with Oculus.
Starting at just $299, Meta’s proprietary VR headset is an affordable entry into VR that allows all sorts of people to try out the technology. It’s a standalone device, so all you need to get started is a Facebook account and the headset itself.
But like most VR systems, the Oculus Quest 2 is essentially a one-of-a-kind experience, allowing only one person to enjoy what’s happening on screen at a time. It would be really cool if there was a way to cast your Quest 2 to a TV so other people can get a feel for what you’re doing in your VR world…
Can you view your Oculus Quest 2 on a TV?
Short answer: Yes, but you need a Chromecast device.
Luckily, the folks at Oculus recognize that VR can be a lonely experience at times, so they’re making it pretty easy to cast what’s going on in your headset to a TV. You need a Chromecast device or a TV with Chromecast already built in.

As long as you’re set with Chromecast, casting is pretty easy as long as both devices are on the same network. Just hit up share curved arrow button on your headset control panel and select Pour. Then simply select the right TV and cast your Quest 2 screen to your TV for everyone to see and enjoy.
If you’re having trouble with that, Oculus has some step-by-step guides on their website, as well as some troubleshooting options.
