Amongst Us VR is first-person, and coming to SteamVR and Oculus Quest 2

Surprise, Among Us is getting an official VR adaptation. Studio Innersloth announced the project at the Game Awards today, and it’s more than a port: Between us, VR is a first-person experience of its own, but otherwise stays true to the format of the original.

According to the official release, Among Us “is moving from a 2D to a first-person 3D experience that puts players in the heart of the Skeld and maintains the core mechanics that fans love.” As with the older Among Us, it will keep its 4-10 player online multiplayer.

Between Us VR doesn’t have a release date, but it will launch for SteamVR and Oculus Quest 2 (which is now actually known as Meta Quest 2). Innersloth is supported in the project by Schell Games and Robot Teddy.

This official VR game from Among Us will likely make the VRChat version obsolete, which is a shame since you probably won’t be able to play as Tails with the official one.
