You Can Now Stream Video games Wirelessly With The Oculus Quest 2

In a recently released software update, e.g. B. Oculus v28, Air Link was introduced, which is primarily a PC streaming feature for owners of Oculus headsets. With Air Link backed by a strong Wi-Fi connection, users can play PC VR games wirelessly on their headsets.

Andrew Bosworth, head of Facebook Reality Labs, mentioned that if the v28 update is on their Quest 2 headset, users can find the feature, if not it will be available very soon. Even so, users still found a way to use the Air Link feature. It should be noted, however, that the Air Link feature is still in the testing phase. According to Bosworth, Oculus is releasing the feature today because “the excitement about Air Link cannot be contained,” knowing that the release was originally scheduled for next week.

Air Link emerged from Oculus Link, which primarily used a USB-C cable to run PC VR games for the highest visual fidelity. However, since Air Link is a wireless feature, the Virtual Desktop alternative may be less appealing depending on its performance. It should be noted that Air Link is still an experimental feature and should be expected to have some errors at startup.

Currently, the Oculus Quest 2 retails for $ 299 with 64GB of storage and $ 399 with 256GB of storage. It contains numerous accessories and functions that you can try out. You can also add some add-ons that cost $ 49.
