Train With These Enjoyable And Scary Monster VR Video games

Release your inner monster or battle for your life against the living dead — you’ll find a monster themed VR game that will get you sweating up a storm. The first two games aren’t scary or intimate, but be warned that the last three games do have monsters and zombies that could be too intense for some VR gamers.

Mighty Monster Mayhem

You’re a monster! Play as Cthulu Carl, Ian Insectoid, Toni the Oni, Ronald the Rock, or Todd the Gorzilla (a cross between gorilla + Godzilla) as a single player or a group of 4 players. Tear down skyscrapers, kick over trucks and buildings, and pick up people walking around as you tear into a city like it’s paper mache. Use your meaty hands to throw objects, climb, destroy things, gain boosts, unlock more monsters, and eat people.

fitness potential

You’ll be getting a full body workout due to the entire body being utilized to pick things up, throw, kick, and crouch as you complete objectives. Enjoy getting your whole body moving as you sweat. Add a weighted vest, hand weights, or ankle weights to increase the difficulty of your workout.

100ft Robot Golf – Kaiju Driving Range

Battle your Kaiju, or “strange monster”, against a giant robot (or the other way around) in rounds of golf. Swing and aim to hit the robot or Kaiju at their weak spots to gain more points for your meter. Gather your friends and compete against each other to see who can stay under par.

fitness potential

100ft Robot Golf will have you using your upper (shoulders, chest, back, core) and lower body (glutes and thighs) to stabilize and execute your golf swing. As a robot or Kaiju, you’ll be jumping and getting in the way of other players by throwing entire buildings and objects at them so they have a more difficult time aiming and swinging accurately.

Arizona sunshine

You’re in southwestern America after the zombie apocalypse hits. You’ll be using over 25 weapons to shoot, fight off, and kill hordes of the living dead. This game operates a lot like the Fallout games where you’ll be scavenging through a wasteland looking for ammo and supplies while piecing together a larger story.

fitness potential

Quick reaction times are absolutely necessary for those sneaky, creepy, and crawling zombies. Your arms and upper body might get tired using two-handed guns, automatic rifles, and even long-range weapons to kill off swarming enemies. This is not a leg game but can be if you add squatting or lunging into your stances and movements. How you survive is up to you.

DeathHorizon

It’s your mission to kill off all T-12 infected zombies and monstrous beings as you’re locked into a research lab. Use automatic weapons to fight against waves of contained zombies. Complete your missions and objectives to gain information about the virus. Try to contain the virus and survive.

fitness potential

Your upper body will get a good workout as you shoot zombies that are hiding around corners and behind doors. Advance to other sections of the lab as you shoot, find ammo, and try not to panic. The varying sizes and special abilities of the zombies will keep your heart rate elevated as you maneuver your body to anticipate spitting, leaping, and surprise attacks coming from all directions. If you dodge green slime and zombie grabs like they’re real you’ll get a better leg workout.

ARKTIKA.1

You’ve accepted a mission to go to ARKTIKA.1, a frozen world that’s been taken over by human enemies and deadly creatures. Save what’s left of the apocalyptic world from these beasts as you save yourself and complete missions by using futuristic weapons that carry a punch.

fitness potential

Make your way around the icy landscape as you hide from drones and bad guys looking to kill you. Outsmart your enemies by teleporting and taking cover behind anything you can find. You’ll get a good upper and mid-body workout from having to swivel your body around corners and shooting for long periods. Your legs will feel like jelly after you’ve squatted to escape from showers of bullets.
