See the primary Oculus Quest 2 gameplay footage from Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife
Fast Travel Games, the developers of Budget Cuts 2, today shared five minutes of gameplay for their upcoming horror VR title Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife during Upload VR’s winter wrap-up.
The game is based on the tabletop role-playing game Wraith: The Oblivion from 1994 and is the first VR game in the world of darkness, a version of the modern world in which vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures exist in secret. However, the developers have promised that you don’t need any prior knowledge to appreciate the game.
Players will control Ed, a photographer who died during a séance at the Barclay Mansion, home of a legendary film producer. As a ghost, Ed must explore the mansion to find out how he died, what happened to his wife, and what the purpose of the session was. He will be able to use supernatural powers like a sharpened sense that will allow him to see nearby and highlight important objects. He can also manipulate objects remotely, become insignificant to walk through walls, and use his camera to restore lost memories.

He has to use all these tricks to avoid ghosts, spirits that have lost touch with their humanity and are stuck in the hereafter. Each one is unique and their design gives a clue of how they died.
Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife will be released on all major VR platforms in early 2021. It’s part of a crowded list of new titles in the world of darkness, including Vampires: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and Wraith: The Oblivion – The Orpheus Device.
