Resident Evil four VR launches solely on Oculus Quest 2 on Oct 21, Digital Information

Widely touted as one of the best games of all time, Resident Evil 4 from 2005 is seeing a new lease on life as a VR game and will be released exclusively on Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 on October 21st.

Just in time for Halloween, the survival horror classic can now be played from a completely new immersive first-person perspective that only VR can offer.

Take a first look at the new gameplay mechanics in VR:

According to the Oculus blog post, the game will have a number of differences from the original:

“Players will enjoy many comfort options while standing or sitting. Support for teleportation and expansive movement means you can explore the world of the game your way. You’ll still be moving with the analog stick, but Armature added a full torso rig to Leon’s character to combine his movement with the two-handed interactivity achieved with touch controllers.

“Weapons and items have been transformed into physical objects so that you can pick them up and interact with them. Finally, instead of navigating through a menu to swap weapons, you can take them off your body. “

Get ready to follow in Leon’s footsteps again on October 21st when Resident Evil 4 VR arrives on Oculus Quest 2.

If you don’t already have an Oculus Quest 2, now is the best time to get one, as the new base model comes with twice the capacity (128MB) for exactly the same price.
