Resident Evil four VR Is Coming To Oculus Quest 2

The legendary survival horror shooter Resident Evil 4 is coming to Oculus Quest as Resident Evil 4 VR.

The port was announced today at the new Resident Evil Showcase. This will be a brand new version of Resident Evil 4 that shifts the iconic third person view to the first person via the shoulder camera. In the game, you play as Leon Kennedy, who travels to Europe to rescue the president’s daughter in the midst of a zombie outbreak.

The first gameplay showed some interesting changes to the gameplay. First, players would be able to use knives and weapons at the same time, and interact realistically with objects in the environment, e.g. B. by turning the crank handles and typing on Typer pens. There’s even an in-VR version of the classic inventory system. The port is developed by Armature.

And that’s about all we know now. More details will be included in next week’s Oculus Gaming Showcase, which will air April 21 at 3 p.m. PT. There are currently no details on the release dates and Quest is the only confirmed platform.

Resident Evil 4 VR’s existence actually leaked a few months ago, but it still isn’t the VR Resident Evil game that many were expecting. Resident Evil 8 will be released next month and as a sequel to PSVR-backed Resident Evil 7, fans had been hoping that there would be some form of VR support in this case as well. At least for the time being, it doesn’t look that way.
