Past Chronos Coming To PSVR And PC VR
ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos is a VR visual novel that had some hits on Oculus Quest when it was first published late last year. While this isn’t the type of game you’d normally expect to see in VR, it is now expanding with releases slated for PSVR and PC VR this year.
ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos
Today, ALTDEUS developer MyDearest announced that the game will be released next month on February 19th on PC VR and two months later on April 15th on PSVR for $ 29.99 on both platforms.
Last month we reviewed ALTDEUS, a spiritual sequel to a visual VR novel preview game, Toky Chrono, from the same developers. In every respect, ALTDEUS improves its predecessor in every respect.
In his review, Henry Stockdale wrote:
MyDearest did a great job at ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos, proving that visual novels can work in virtual reality, and it is clear that they have considered the feedback from Tokyo Chronos. After adding new language options and much-needed immersion to the core gameplay, I found myself completely in ALTDEUS history overall. Although the interactivity remains minimal compared to other VR games, this game comes highly recommended for fans of visual novels.
ALTDEUS offers a 15 to 20 hour story with branched narrative points and even includes options for English and Japanese voice output. The game also features mech battles for moments of actual interactive gameplay and even allows you to take part in 360-degree virtual J-pop concerts.
