Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset Storage Doubles to 128GB on Aug. 24
If you’re planning on buying an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset this month, it’s worth waiting until August 24th as Facebook has decided to double its internal storage.
The existing base model of the Quest 2 contains 64 GB of memory that cannot be expanded. The updated model comes with 128GB of internal storage, but the price remains the same at $ 299. This is going to be frustrating for anyone who recently bought a 64GB model.

Facebook stopped selling the virtual reality headset last month as some owners experienced skin irritation in the form of facial rashes, swelling, burning, itching, hives and bumps. The detachable foam that touches your face when you wear the headset seems to be the cause, and the 128GB models no doubt come with the new silicone case to solve the problem.

The Oculus Quest 2 is an impressive wireless headset, sharp display, powerful processor and accurate motion tracking. Its only drawback is its short battery life, which doesn’t give more than three hours before a charge is required. Doubling the memory without increasing the price is very welcome, but I think a lot of users would like the battery life to be improved as well.
