Oculus Quest 2 Receives New Silicone Covers and Controller Protector from VR Cowl

The Oculus Quest 2 was one of the hottest gifts of 2020 for the holiday season. If you got one for yourself, there are tons of awesome accessories out there to search now to add to your collection. However, if you’re a fitness enthusiast specifically trying to find new face coverings for your headset, there are now some fantastic new options on the market.

VR Cover, a company that specializes in accessories for virtual reality devices, released a new list of items for the Oculus Quest 2 this week. In total, four new items have been launched and each would be great additions to your own collection depending on the circumstances.

The first two accessories in question are silicone cases that you can slide directly onto your Oculus Quest 2. VR Cover has released two of these items, one in orange and one in mint. I’m personally familiar with the orange, but I can imagine others prefer the mint, especially since it goes a little better with the muted tone of the headset.

We’ve talked a lot about headset covers here at VR Fitness Insider, and these two from VR Cover are some of the best around. Each cover keeps sweat, grime and other grime away from the direct foam attached to your Quest 2, so you can keep it in a nicer condition for a longer period of time. The covers are also very soft when pressed onto your face and are generally quite easy to clean. If you plan to use your VR headset specifically for exercising, investing in one of these covers is highly recommended.

The other products launched this week come in the form of two new handles for your Oculus controllers. The first is called the Halo Controller Protector, and it does just that – protects you (and your controllers) while you play. These rings fit around the outside of the Oculus handheld devices, making sure they won’t get damaged or scratched if you bump them into structures while playing. Tracking is also not affected at all and these protectors are also very easy to clean.

Speaking of handles, those in Europe can now finally grab the controller handles that VR Cover previously released. These little accessories are designed to do exactly what you’d expect: They’ll help you get a better grip on your controllers. These items also come with straps so you can make sure your handheld inputs don’t fly off if you swing your hands and arms a little too quickly.

Last but not least, you are in luck if you are also looking for a new foam face cushion kit for your VR headset. VR Cover’s earlier collection, which was incredibly popular, has finally been replenished after high demand and is finally available for purchase again. This setup contains four different accessories, all of which can be attached to the face area of your Oculus Quest 2. The only downside right now is that this set is currently only available to people in Europe. However, replenishment should take place in the USA and other regions in the next few weeks.

We’ve already emphasized this, but honestly, any of these elements would be a fantastic addition to your VR array. This is twofold if you are someone who uses your Oculus Quest 2 on a daily or weekly basis. Neither of these products will enhance or enhance your own gaming experience, but you will absolutely see the benefits in the long run.

As for the cost of all of that? Well, it’s honestly not too shabby. The orange and mint silicone cases are only $ 14. They also join a wider range of colors including gray, red, dark blue, and magenta. All of these accompanying colors are also at the same price. Meanwhile, the Halo Controller Protector is $ 15 while the Controller Grips are $ 29. Finally, the facial interface kit also costs $ 29.
