Lance Jackson Has Misplaced Almost 100 Kilos By Way of life Modifications that Embody VR Health

Lance Jackson’s advice to anyone considering a VR fitness program is simple, yet meaningful. It has also helped the 40-year-old lose nearly 100 pounds through a combination of lifestyle changes and VR exercises, which include the YUR fitness app.

In late 2017, Jackson weighed approximately 155 kg. He had bad eating habits and was recently diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. Around the same time, his long-time partner was hospitalized with a serious health problem.

“I decided it was high time I … improved both mentally and physically,” said Jackson. He wanted to be available to help his partner with follow-up care when she returned from the hospital, so he began switching to a high-fat, low-carb diet. A few months later he picked up a used HTC Vive from the Facebook Marketplace.

“At that point, my other half was home from the hospital and I couldn’t really leave the house to go to the gym or be away for long periods of time without getting someone to look after them,” explains Jackson .

He had noticed that the changes in his diet and VR gaming were having a positive effect on his weight, so in August 2018 he decided to stream it while playing Beat Saber. This would allow others to watch his progress.

For the rest of 2018, Jackson flocked while playing Beat Saber or other VR games every now and then. He focused on following the low-carbohydrate diet and returned to working as a video production artist for local martial arts events after the break to take care of his partner.

The hard work has paid off and the Brisbane native Australian has seen results. He had lost around 80 pounds since the start of his trip and stayed steady at 120 kg by simply adjusting his diet and using VR for an hour as an exercise once or twice a week.

He maintained the weight for the next several months but did not lose any more. Jackson and his fiancé are planning to get married in 2020 and he wants to be under 100 kg for the wedding but wasn’t sure what to do as his weight loss stalled.

In October 2019, Jackson discovered YUR, a fitness app that made it easy to track his VR workouts. The ability to track his calorie consumption, heart rate, etc., encouraged him to take VR fitness seriously and see if that would help him get past the weight loss plateau he was stuck on. He started setting specific calorie counting goals per week and saw positive results. He switched from 1-hour streams to 4-hour streams, and in addition to improving his overall health, Jackson noticed an increase in muscles and the pounds (or pounds in his case!) Began to drop again.

YUR level 60

Jackson is one of the first to reach your level 60. To do this, you need to consume at least 90,000 calories over a period of 90 days.

On his way to YUR Level 60 and better health, Jackson was encouraged by the stories of viewers who visit his Twitch channel. Jackson’s viewers, known to them as MrLiveProducer, shared their own stories, telling him that he inspired them with the possibilities of VR fitness as an alternative to going to the gym.

“For taller people (like me),” says Jackson, “going to the gym is a daunting task. With VR, you can no longer focus on how you look but focus on how you work out.”

He points out that weight loss and improving overall health and fitness are important motivational aspects of VR exercise, but reminds people to listen to their bodies and take breaks if necessary. After all, self improvement isn’t just about a number at the end. It’s about the path you go there – and the changes you make along the way to keep your health.

In 2017, Jackson was looking for weight loss and overall health options because he had a reason. He wanted to take care of his partner. Eventually his journey evolved and he sees many reasons to use VR for fitness.

“Find the reason that reminds you why you do it every day,” he recommends. “Hold on tight. Never forget it and use it to drive yourself. “

Whether you exercise for ten minutes or three hours, it reminds people that it’s important to keep going.

“The most important thing is that you do it,” says Jackson. “And at some point you won’t see any reason to stop.”
