Is Moss 2 coming to Oculus Quest 2, HTC Vive, or Valve Index?

The latest State of Play stream kicked off with a special reveal for PSVR owners. That’s right, we’re talking about Moss: Book 2, the newest VR adventure for the lovable mouse Quill. The latest game from developer Polyarc seems to be doing well and its PSVR release is guaranteed. But what about other VR systems? Is Moss 2 coming to the Vive, Quest 2 or Valve Index?

Is Moss 2 coming to Quest 2, Vive or Valve Index?

Developer Polyarc has not yet mentioned any plans to bring Moss 2 to Oculus Quest, Quest 2, HTC Vive or Valve Index. So far, only the PSVR release has been confirmed. However, the previous Moss game was released for other VR systems, so Quest 2, Vive or Index versions are possible, maybe even likely.

Of course, as things stand at this moment, the details are thin. Since we’ve just had our first look at Moss: Book 2, we only know about the game’s PlayStation VR release. However, if you look at the history of Polyarc, it is reasonable to assume that a Quest release is coming as well. Moss was released for PSVR in February 2018, and its Quest version hit the market about four months later, in June 2018.

There’s really no reason why it shouldn’t be released for other VR HMDs as well. The Moss page on Steam lists support for virtually every major headset on the market. Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets are all compatible. Since it’s also available on PSVR, Moss is one of the highest rated VR games available on virtually all popular VR headsets.

Polyarc didn’t say whether Moss: Book 2 will be released for Quest, Vive, or Index. So far only PSVR has been confirmed, but don’t lose hope yet. There are good reasons to believe that Moss 2 will eventually be released for all modern VR headsets from Valve, HTC and Oculus, even Windows Mixed Reality.
