Gymnasium Masters Turns VR Train Into A Story-Pushed Recreation

Most VR fitness apps either aim for an engaging, professional experience or offer exercise as a side effect of the game mechanics. Gym Masters would like to bring these ideas together.

Gym Masters is now running a Kickstarter campaign that aims to raise $ 11,707 for publication on Oculus Quest by the end of April. The game takes players to Gym City where they enroll in gyms to work out and become a champion. Check out the Kickstarter trailer below.

To do this, you’ll take part in a series of mini-games that focus on fitness. In one case, knock out soda cans and soft pizzas thrown at you from the back of a car, while in other cases, sprinting with your arms on a treadmill or catching flies with an electric swatter. In addition to the fitness-oriented gameplay, players can customize their own gym to achieve the desired workout experience.

Gym Masters sure has some really interesting game practice ideas, although it’s hard to know that it will work without seeing more gameplay. VR fitness has proven to be a huge part of the industry over the past year as Oculus Quest grew in popularity and people looked for new ways to exercise indoors. But games like Beat Saber get people in shape because they’re addicting, while apps like Supernatural work for people who want more routine. Can gym masters strike a balance between the two?

If you’re interested in helping, access to the game prior to launch is $ 10 (about $ 1.17) or $ 15 for scheduled launch on the Oculus Store (but this assumes that the game is available for the Sale on the quest has been approved business). If it hits its goals, the studio is hoping to release the full title in the third quarter of 2021, though there are stretch goals for a PSVR version of the game and hand-tracking support as well.
